I'm Elly :)
I'm Elly and, as you could probably tell from my instagram handle, I animate things! (Or at least I try to!)
Storytelling in all its forms has always been a big part of my life, wether its books I grew up reading, TV and film franchises I've followed for years or ancient myths created long before I was born. These long established stories often have strong influences on my work, hence my first university piece being based on Poseidon, Greek God of the Sea! They also flow into my art as well as my animations, as can be seen by the fandom based products I sell on my Etsy shop, ApolloStudiosShop!
The Monty Python style collage animation has always fascinated me and I love getting to play around with it. Also showing how beautiful human bodies can be through little videos/gifs, one of which can be found in the 'Experimentation' page. I'm a massive fan of stop motion, as I'm sure you can tell by the picture of me and some puppets from Corpse Bride, I really freaked out that day! Morph and Wallace and Gromit will always have a nostalgic place in my heart. So I'm planning to delve further into model and puppet making. Who knows maybe I'll make a model Poseidon with his own Hippocampus to ride away on!
